Welding Power Source Data Analysis System Developed

Fronius has developed the WeldCube system for documenting, visualizing, and preparing welding data. It can connect up to 50 power sources, enabling accurate and continuous data monitoring. As a result, users are able to significantly improve the output and reliability of their production, the company states.

The system, based on an industrial PC with integrated software, connects up to 50 power sources via a network. It is compatible with the Fronius TPS, TS, CMT, TransTig, MagicWave, DeltaSpot, and TPS/i welding platforms. This enables users to record and analyze a wealth of data, including welding current, voltage, wire feed speed, welding speed and time, arc length and dynamic correction, job numbers for both manual and robotic welding, and consumption.

The data is viewed from a standard web browser, allowing users to view the documentation and graph the data from their computer or mobile device.

Combining hardware and software into one system creates a simple plug-and-play installation with virtually no required maintenance.

Actual values of each power source are recorded in real time and available to the user. Reports and graphs are generated for each machine as well as across all power sources. This allows users to continually monitor and evaluate consumption data for gas, wire, and energy, enabling component-specific or production line-specific documentation and analysis.
