Abrasive Belts
3M™ Cubitron™ II 947A abrasive belts are designed for low- to medium- pressure applications. The company states that the belts are flexible for use in operations using backstand, file belt, inline, and stroke sanders.
A variety of grades and constructions are available, and they include a grinding aid for use on stainless, heat-sensitive metals, tool steel, and carbon steel. As the triangular-shaped grain wears, it continuously fractures to form sharp points and edges that slice through metal, wear evenly, and provide long life and consistency at any grinding pressure, the company states.
