Shimco Wins Business Excellence Award

Shimco, Markham, Ont., a manufacturer of precision parts, laminated and edge-bonded shims, tapers, and spacers, has won an innovation award at the Markham Board of Trade’s 2014 Business Excellence Awards gala. Peter Voss, president and owner, and the company’s senior management team attended the event to accept the award.

The innovation award recognizes a successful business that fosters a culture of innovation in technology, manufacturing, or marketing. An independent team of volunteers from the Markham business community interviewed nominees to determine the finalists and the award recipients. Ten local businesses were recognized as the best in their field.

Innovation is at the core of what we do at Shimco, and is reflected in our state-of-the-art product design and technology and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. This award recognizes our company’s success both locally and internationally,” said Voss.
