CIM Leadership Summit Combined Management Tips, Technology Updates, and Networking

Mary Haurilak accepts plaque for CIM Leadership Summit

Mary Haurilak, marketing coordinator at Handling Specialty in Grimsby, Ont., accepted a plaque in recognition of the plant tour that was part of the CIM Leadership Summit. Steve Guild (left), plant supervisor, served as tour guide. Jim Gorzek, CIM associate publisher, presented the plaque.

The 2nd annual CIM Leadership Summit, organized by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International, CIM’s educational affiliate and leading association for the metal forming and fabricating industry, offered insights to advancing manufacturing in Canada, ideas to improve production, strategies to motivate and retain employees, and opportunities to network with like-minded metalworking and fabricating professionals.

Industry experts led interactive presentations; Handling Specialty, Grimsby, Ont., showcased how it fabricates engineered-to-order heavy industrial and large-scale truck lifting systems during the event industry tour; and attendees relaxed and networked during a tour and dinner at Inniskillin Winery and golf at Legends on the Niagara.

The event, held in mid-June in Niagara Falls, Ont., was co-sponsored by ISCAR and Sandvik Coromant.
