VpCI-649 from Cortec helps eliminate corrosion during hydrotesting

While hydrotesting of industrial pipes and valves is done to ensure that no leaks are present, it also raises the risk of corrosion by introducing moisture to the system. Cortec’s VpCI-649 is a concentrated liquid formulation that combines contact and vapor-phase corrosion inhibitors to form a molecular protective layer on metal surfaces below and above the water level.
The liquid protects ferrous and nonferrous metals, including copper, steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, and cast iron. It does not contain nitrites, phosphates, or chromates and is available without molybdate.
The user decides how long they want corrosion protection to last and adjusts concentration and dwell time accordingly.
