HP and Sandvik collaborate to develop new AM materials

HP and Sandvik have partnered to create new additive manufacturing (AM) materials like superalloys and 316L, following their previous collaboration to create a HP Metal Jet 17-4PH stainless steel powder.

"This collaboration is a game-changer. Our collaboration with Sandvik broadens [HP’s] Metal Jet's capabilities, empowering industries to revolutionize manufacturing processes and products,” said Ramon Pastor, global head of 3D metals at HP.

The companies are working in tandem with Parmatech and Endeavor 3D to develop these materials.

"By combining the expertise of our companies, I believe the collaboration will lead to advancements in both materials and manufacturing technology that will ultimately benefit our customers,” said Andrew Coleman, head of additive manufacturing at Sandvik.
