The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA), Cambridge, Ont., held its 22nd annual golf tournament Sept. 9 at Pine Knot Golf & Country Club, Dorchester, Ont., with a few “tweaks” based on public health requirements to keep the golfers safe.

“This event is always a hit, and this year was no exception,” said Robert Cattle, CTMA executive director. “We can’t begin to express the gratitude we have for everyone who participated and made this event possible. We’re so grateful for our sponsors who continue to support the CTMA, year after year.”

The event had many on-course contests, including men’s and ladies’ longest drive and closest-to-the-pin.

“We’re hoping things will be back to normal next year, but should we still be in the same boat, we’re confident we will have the same success as any other year,” added Cattle.

The event was sponsored by Anchor Danly, Canadian Metalworking, OSG Canada, Dayton Lamina, Mazak, Sandvik Coromant, Tool and Cutter, Genius ERP, EDC, Cowan, Inspire Talent, BMO, Century Tools, XL Tool, KBC Tools & Machinery, SME, Dundee Recycling, Matrix Group Publishing, Hallink, G.S. Die & Design, and Schmolz + Bickenbach.

Next year’s tournament is tentatively set for June 9, 2021.
