Lauffer Pressen, a manufacturer of hydraulic, servohydraulic, and electric presses, is marking its 150th year in business. Founded in 1872 by Johann Martin Lauffer, the company is based in Horb am Neckar, Germany, and currently employs about 260 people.
The company has planned several events to mark the anniversary, beginning with Lauffer Technology Days on Sept. 21 and 22, held at its headquarters. This international in-house exhibition will present all of the company's product groups and include numerous presentations by industry experts, technology specialists, and customers. The presentations will focus primarily on the theme of energy efficiency and sustainability.
An evening event for invited guests is planned for Sept. 22, and a party for employees, families, and alumni will be held Sept. 23.
The celebrations will be preceded by an open house for potential trainees and students on Sept. 20 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. It will include information about Lauffer’s apprenticeships and courses of study.
