DMG MORI DMP 35 5-axis machining centre operates in small footprint

DMG MORI has introduced the DMP 35, which has a footprint of 3.15 m². The machine stands 2,280 mm high and 1,285 mm wide. Traverse path is 350 by 420 by 380 mm.

An inline, 15,000-RPM spindle is standard, and the machine has direct absolute path measuring systems in all axes. The tool magazine has 15 places for tools up to 150 mm long. Optionally, 25 tool places are possible, which marginally increases the width to 1,410 mm. The modular system also can include a spindle with 24,000 min-1 and an HSK-A40 or SK 30 interface.

The machine has an internal coolant supply with 40-bar pressure and a chip conveyor with a capacity of up to 1,000 cm³/min.
