DMG Mori has premiered the DMF 200|8, a 5-axis machining centre for the processing of parts up to 2,300 mm long, including structural components and mould inserts.
The machine maximizes stiffness by using three linear guides in the X axis. Direct-driven ball screws are used in the Y and Z axes, and the B-axis milling head has +/- 120 degrees of swivel. The B-axis milling head has a maximum clamping torque of 6,000 Nm. A modular spindle system rounds off the equipment variety. A speedMASTER spindle with 15,000 min-1 is integrated as standard.
The working area has travels of 2,000 mm in X, 800 mm in Y, and 850 mm in Z. Rapid traverses of up to 50 m/min. are standard and up to 80 m/min. with linear drive in the X axis is optional.
The table load is 2,000 kg.
