DMG Mori introduces new technology at open house event

DMG Mori presented new technology in the fields of digitization and automation at its traditional Open House held in Pfronten, Germany, Feb. 11-15, 2020. The focus was on end-to-end connectivity as the standard for all machines, an update on all of the company’s existing CELOS versions, a new customer portal called my DMG MORI, and the TULIP system of simple digitization.

Held over an area of more than 7,500 sq. m, the open house also introduced new concepts in machining and additive manufacturing. The majority of the exhibits demonstrated some form of automation available from the machine tool manufacturer.

Many new machines were shown at this event for the first time, including the DMC 65 H monoBLOCK and DMU 65 H monoBLOCK universal horizontal machining centres, the modular PH CELL pallet system, and the Lasertec 400 Shape for laser texturing and Lasertec 30 Dual SLM for additive manufacturing.
