The Feedmax™ SD230A solid-carbide 30xD drill from Seco Tools is available in diameters from 4 to 10 mm as standard, with 3 mm available as semistandard.
The drill has a four-facet point geometry, primary and secondary relief angles, and a point angle of 136 degrees. The tool also features a titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) and titanium nitride (TiN) coating. Four land margins provide stability and maximize hole quality, the company states.
For the best setup stabilization, these drills should be used in conjunction with hydraulic chucks or shrink-fit toolholders.
