Kurt Workholding’s HD690 is a pulltype vise with a 9-in. jaw opening for clamping larger parts with minimal stationary jaw deflection.
It combines the company’s AngLock ® design with a new pull-type design, which reduces stress in the vise body under load, resulting in more accurate part clamping, according to the company.
It features top-down bolting to reduce deflection, roller bearings, and a hardened vise screw mechanism.
The vise has a clamping force of 975 to 5,250 lbs., using 10 to 80 lbs. of input torque.
Additional features include quickchange, machinable jaws for oddly shaped parts; groove-lock jaw and workstop; and sine keys for part alignment. Options include a swivel base and machinable aluminum jaw kit.
