High-feed Turning

Tungaloy has introduced a line of Super High Feed turning tools that allow for feeds of up to 0.090 in. per revolution and up to a 0.090-in. depth of cut.

The cutting edge geometry and chip breaker create extreme chip thinning, and the tool produces a wide, thin chip that contributes to good chip control. These turning tools also can significantly reduce cycle time by running at feeds up to eight times faster than conventional turning tools, according to the manufacturer.
