Extended Gauge Lengths

BIG Kaiser has expanded the BIG-PLUS® line of toolholders with extended gauge lengths for the company’s shell mill adapters and shrink fit toolholders.

CAT 50 shell mill adapters are now available standard in 8-, 10-, and 12-in. gauge lengths on 1- and 1.5-in. pilot diameters and 4- and 6-in. lengths on 1.25-in. pilot diameter. The 1-in. pilot diameter, 10- and 12-in. lengths are designed with a tapered body for increased rigidity, according to the manufacturer.

CAT 40 shrink fit holders are now available standard with a 6-in. gauge length for 0.5-, 0.625-, 0.75-, and 1-in. diameters. CAT 50 shrink fit holders are now available in 6-in. lengths for 0.75-, 1-, and 1.25-in. diameters. Metric sizes are also available upon request.
