Sandvik Coromant has launched Coro-Drill® 808 deep-hole machining tool for its single tube system (STS).
This tool is equipped with an optimized pad design for good hole finish, unique edge preparation for better chip breaking, and a reinforced periphery insert corner for added security and reliability, the company states.
These tools are suitable for diameters from 0.614 to 2.559 in. and tolerance demands of IT 9.
The drills are equipped with a fully traceable dot matrix. It is a 2-D patterned array, used for storage and display of various types of information, including the measurement protocol. Such protocol includes data on diameter and runout of the drill, making dot matrix suitable for product identification and traceability.
