Concentrated Grinding Fluid

July 7, 2010

The cutting fluid division of DoALL Sawing Products, Wheeling, Ill., has launched the Ultra series of cutting fluids, which includes Kool-ALL Ultra®, Kleen-Kool Ultra®, and Power-Cut Ultra®.

A concentrated form of existing products, these fluids give the user more coolant with less water and, therefore, lower freight costs, the company states.

According to the company, these cutting fluids offer the following benefits:

Semisynthetics. This fluid provides for long sump life, exceptional tramp oil rejection, and good balance between control of both bacteria and mold for low odor and little generation of tube and passageway mold growth.

Extreme-pressure Fortified Soluble Oils. This fluid has the ability to handle alloy steels, such as 300 series stainless. The emulsifiers are designed to mix easily with water, which reduces the burden on the setup and maintenance people on the shop floor.

Synthetics. These coolants have low foaming tendency and high fines release and hard-water tolerance (for minimizing grinding swarf and maintaining an unclogged grinding wheel with fewest wheel dressings).

In addition, the company says it has shown a commitment to a greener future by using environmentally friendly, recyclable containers and liners that are tamper-resistant. Throughout the coming year, as part of DoALL’s commitment, the company will expand its ecofriendly product line.
