LVD Strippit’s M-Series machines are 20-metric-ton, CNC turret punch presses with 51 percent more turret capacity than the company’s previous models.
The 47-station turret includes a mix of turret stations, including three 3.5-in. autoindex stations and four 2-in. stations. Every station accepts shaped punches and dies and can also be loaded with indexable multitools to further expand turret capacity and flexibility.
Quick-change die holders minimize tool changeover time.
Hardened steel guide bushings and hardened shot pins provide alignment control of punches and dies. Bidirectional turret rotation automatically selects the shortest possible route to the next punching station for fast station-to-station positioning, resulting in higher productivity.
These machines are equipped with servo-driven hydraulic press drives. Axis speeds of up to 380 hits per minute (HPM) on 1-in. centers and up to 900 HPM on 0.04-in. centers are achievable.
These punch presses can be loaded with workpieces up to 49.21 by 98.4 in., with larger sheets processed using clamp repositioning. Workpiece thicknesses up to 0.250 in. can be punched. Feed clearance of 0.984 in. between the upper and lower turret allows for the production of forms such as lances, louvers, embossments, and card guides.
A brush table minimizes noise and part scratching and allows replacement of individual brushes.
An Energy Reduction System (ERS) ensures that electrical power usage is managed efficiently, the company states. The ERS reduces energy consumption up to 30 percent compared to older machine designs.
A PC-based Fanuc control is used to run system diagnostics, store programs, and provide networking capability. Optional CADMAN® programming software provides automatic unfolding of 3-D SAT and IGES
Files; autonesting; and support for all standard and advanced punching functions, including autoindex stations, multitools, standard and special punches, forming, embossing, tapping, stamping, and wheel-style tools.
These punch presses also can be integrated with an optional, automatic load/unload system or a 6- or 10-pallet Compact Tower (CT-P) for material loading, unloading, and storage.
