Fermat Group, in conjunction with Canadian importer Tos America, will display the WFT 13R table-type horizontal boring mill.

This machine is equipped with a 5-in. spindle, table travel of 177 in. (X), headstock vertical travel of 98 in. (Y), column travel of 59 in. (Z), and spindle travel of 28 in. (W). It also has a ram travel of 27.5 in. (V), which provides a spindle support while reaching to the center of the table.

This machine features stress-relieved castings for all major components, and all functional surfaces are hardened as one piece to 56 HRC.

It is equipped with a rotary table on a cross-roller taper bearing and a FANUC 31i control system.

The headstock and main Fanuc spindle motor is 50 HP and designed for rough machining with an emphasis on high-quality surface finishes, the company states. A two-speed gearbox is included, enabling maximum metal removal during heavy machining operations.

The robotic tool changer is designed to exchange 105 tools into the working spindle. The tools can be exchanged directly into the working spindle or into a predefined position on an automatic milling head.
