The Pero R1 vacuum solvent cleaning system, distributed in North America by ZPS America, is suitable for any type of machined or formed metal component that can fit into a standard 530- by 365- by 250-mm basket. Other sizes are available as special order.
The system’s vacuum solvent degreasing technology is suitable for machined components; punched, drawn, and extruded parts; precision-ground products; and close-tolerance electromechanical items. Aerospace components, engine and automotive parts, heat exchangers, and special-purpose units are ideal candidates as well.
Developed from its V1 model, the cleaning system’s vacuum degreasing technology eliminates emissions and provides maximum solvent utilization.
Onboard condition monitoring and simple text displays give up-to-the-moment feedback on the unit’s operation. In addition, a diagnostic program provides fault finding and suggested corrective actions, ensuring maximum equipment availability and minimum downtime costs, the company reports.
For cleaning, the system has a range of user-definable component agitation and orientation options. Bath, flooding, and wave flooding are available, as is vapor degreasing. Optional ultrasonic units can be retrofitted to the base machine.
For drying, the system uses low-temperature vacuum technology.
Inline filtration units helps to ensure the separation of solids. Each wash unit is equipped with a dedicated filter, and integrated filter drying removes all moisture from filter residue.
Fire and explosion safety equipment for organic solvents with flashpoints above 122 degrees F is integrated, and a 3-mm stainless steel banded tray eliminates solvent seepage, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Wash basket rotation monitoring and integral acid sensors are also provided.
