From Matsuura, the MAM72-100H five-axis machine is a new system for machining hard-to-cut materials, such as titanium and INCONEL® alloys, for the aerospace and other industries. This machine is suitable for manufacturers that require extended unmanned operation, process integration, and high precision, reports the distributor.
The Super NTMX from machine tool builder Nakamura-Tome is the world's first system equipped with dual 24-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) magazines, a design that simplifies complex multitasking machining, the company states. Full five-axis milling capability provides high precision and accuracy for manufacturing complex contoured components, including medical and aerospace.
From Zeiss, the new MICURA is a compact, bridge-type coordinate measuring machine (CMM) that features the manufacturer's active scanning technology. This system exhibits high precision (0.9 micron + L/400) with low probing force and is an excellent system for measuring close-tolerance parts with delicate structures that often are required in the optical, electronic, and telecommunication industries, the company states. Measurement volume is 500 by 500 by 500 mm.
