Walter Surface Technologies has introduced the newly redesigned Icecut 100 and Icecut 200 magnetic drills. They include the addition of the Accudrill pressure indicator, as well as a material and thickness detector.
Redesigned for heavy-duty applications, the safety amp meter, located in the central control panel, prevents the motor from overloading and overheating. The material and thickness detector will not allow the drill to start when the magnetic holding power is insufficient to secure the unit to the workpiece and operate safely.
The 100 model is the most compact, portable unit available, the manufacturer states. Designed for off-site drilling, it weighs 22 lbs. and offers 850 W of power and 600 RPM. The 200 model is a two-speed unit engineered for heavy-duty applications. Weighing 27 lbs., it operates at 300 and 600 RPM, allowing users to cut smaller and larger holes with precision, the manufacturer reports.
