SMD Machinery has introduced the Astes4-Sort and Astes4-Heavy FMS for automatic loading of sheet and plate material, as well as organizing the automated sorting, stacking, and identifying of laser- and plasma-cut parts.
The system’s software organizes the sorting and stacking autonomously based on the generated NC program.
Systems sort and stack laser-cut parts up to 30 mm thick and plasmacut parts up to 50 mm thick, with the skeleton being handled by Cartesian grippers. Multiple plate cutting machines can also work with one system.
