Abrasive Waterjet Technology

OMAX® Corp. will showcase two of its abrasive waterjet systems.

Suitable for cutting large-scale components and multiple-part projects from exotic alloys, metals, and composites, the 80X requires minimal maintenance, states the manufacturer. The company will power this bridge-style machine with a 100- HP direct-drive pump with Enduro- MAX® technology to help deliver high speed and good cut quality.

Visitors will experience how the Tilt-A-Jet® cutting head accessory enables the machine to achieve zero taper with no reduction in cutting speed for the precision cutting of parts with square, taper-free edges, including interlocking pieces and dovetail fittings.

Designed for job shops and metal service centers, the all-new MAXIEM ® 1530 JetMachining center will be paired with a 40-HP direct-drive pump and optional A-Jet® multiaxis cutting head to demonstrate cutting of beveled edges, angled sides, and countersinks. The cutting head also compensates for taper and creates complex 3-D shapes.
