Mitsubishi Laser has released the eX-S entry-level version of its 2-D eX machine. The eX-S features a 2,700- W resonator that can cut steel thicknesses up to and over 0.75 in.
Features of this laser cutter include an improved gas change time of 60 percent over previous models (about 10 minutes from start-up), helical rack-and-pinion to reduce noise, built-in jet pierce with the ability to aggressively pierce mild steel, a new Mitsubishi control with faster graphical interface, expanded programming options, and an ECO mode.
