Sheet Metal CAD/CAM System Includes New Nesting Engine
At FABTECH 2015, SigmaTEK will introduce SigmaNEST X1, the new release of the sheet metal CAD/CAM system, offering improved functionality for CNC punch, laser, and plasma machines. Shown for the first time will be the new Dynapack-HD nesting engine, which handles multisheet nesting tasks efficiently for improved best sheet selection and overall material yield improvement, states the company.
The CAD/CAM system acts as a hub or cockpit from which to integrate multiple machines, optimize production schedules, reduce scrap, and shorten cycle time through smart machine programming, according to the firm.
SigmaTEK also will introduce SigmaWEBTM, a new QuoteNestingTM system that allows customers of a job shop using SigmaNEST to obtain job quotes through a web interface.
