The Haas ST-10Y is a small-footprint Y-axis turning center that provides 4 in. of Y-axis travel (±2 in. from centerline) for off-center milling, drilling, and tapping. It comes standard with high-torque live tooling and a servo-driven C axis, creating four-axis capability.
This turning center has a maximum cutting capacity of 9 by 14 in., with a swing of 16.25 in. over the cross slide. It is equipped with a 6.5-in., hydraulic three-jaw chuck and a 12-station VDI turret. The machine’s A2-5 spindle nose has a 2.31-in. spindle bore and a bar capacity of 1.75 in. Its 15-HP, vector dual-drive spindle turns to 6,000 RPM and provides 75 ft.-lbs. of torque. On-the-fly, wye-delta switching yields a wide constant-horsepower band for constant surface feed cuts, and rapids are 945 IPM on the X axis, 1,200 IPM on the Z axis, and 500 IPM on the Y axis.
The machine comes standard with a 15-in., color LCD monitor and a USB port. Available options include a belt-type chip conveyor, manual tailstock with hydraulic quill, automatic tool probe, automatic parts catcher, and high-pressure coolant system.
