Chemetall’s Tech Cool® 35052CF is a semisynthetic metalworking coolant that combines the high lubricity characteristics required for aerospace and medical device alloys with green chemistry technologies. The result is high emulsion stability, long sump life without odors, extended tool life, low foam levels, excellent corrosion resistance, and lower operational costs, the company states.
This is achieved without the use of chlorinated or sulfur-based, extreme-pressure (EP) additives, and without bactericides, dicyclohexylamine (DCHA), or secondary amines. The coolant also is free of formaldehyde-releasing compounds.
Suitable for titanium, high-nickel alloys, stainless steels, as well as aluminum, brass, and all ferrous substrates, this coolant can be used in broaching, milling, and drilling operations.
The coolant is low-foaming, even without the use of silicone defoamers, and is suitable for high-pressure, high-speed systems, even in environments where water hardness is low.
