Oil Mist Collectors

FiltermistXcel2 is the latest generation of oil mist collectors from Filtermist International.

This system, which removes oil mist from the machine shop environment, uses a specially designed inner drum that draws the mist-laden air into the unit and then separates the oil droplets from the airstream by centrifugal impaction. The cleaned air is then returned into the workshop, and the recovered oil is returned to the machine.

The airflow range is from 200 m³/hr. to 2,000 m³/hr., and units are designed to operate at a variety of low and high voltages at both 50 and 60 Hz. This combination allows each model to cover many different applications, according to the company.

Models are available in either powder-coated mild steel or 304 stainless steel and are suitable for a range of manufacturing, engineering, and processing applications. These include automotive, aerospace, spark erosion, grinding, and industrial washing processes.
