Mazak will debut its INTEGREX i-300 multitasking center. Suitable for midsize, complex part machining, this machine creates productivity improvement through B-axis and C-axis contouring ability.
Accuracy is maintained through several design features, including the company's roller cam drive for the rotating B axis. It features scale feedback, high rigidity, and no backlash, while reducing friction, the company states.
A 12,000-RPM milling spindle is mounted in the vertical rotating B axis and has a range between -30 and +240 degrees. It also has a 4,000-RPM spindle for turning with C-axis control.
The machine accommodates part diameters up to 25.9 in. and has a 3.58-in. spindle bore. Y-axis travel is 9.8 in.; vertical X-axis movement is 24.2 in., with 4.92 in. below centerline. With the addition of a second turning spindle, the model becomes the INTEGREX i-300S (shown here).
The company will also show its Slant Turn Nexus 550M, a heavy-duty CNC turning center designed for large, long shaft-type part turning; the Vertical Center Nexus 510C vertical machining center; the Quick Turn Smart 250 turning center; and the Horizontal Center Nexus 8800-II.
