Handling Specialty Manufacturing has launched the MGV/AGV manually guided vehicle that can be transformed into an automatically guided vehicle.

This heavy-duty, self-propelled cart has a hydraulically powered scissor lift mounted in the center of the frame. It has a customizable lifting capacity and deck size.

According to the manufacturer, this material handling system can securely lift, hold, turn (with added tooling), and transport unfinished goods more safely, quickly, and ergonomically than pull or push carts. In addition, this system allows companies to install an assembly line without the need for overhead or underfloor power, towline systems, conveyor belts, or lines.

Other features include:

A DC-power drive that requires no overhead power drops or power cords.
A DC drive motor with integral brake.
A DC drive controller that provides ramped acceleration and deceleration for smooth starts and stops.
Hydraulic scissor lift.
A three-wheel carrier that helps ensure the drive wheel is always in contact with the floor.
Velocity fuse on lift, which provides rate-of-descent protection.
