CanWeld 2016 is a new tradeshow and conference for the welding, fabricating, and metal forming industry that will take place Oct. 4- 5, 2016, in Edmonton at the Northlands – Edmonton Expo Centre. It will comprise a tradeshow featuring live working equipment and technology, a technical and business conference, and industry networking. Strategically located in Edmonton, the energy manufacturing heartland of Alberta, CanWeld 2016 will serve elements of the oil and gas, agriculture, mining, and general manufacturing supply chain through multiple tiers.
The show will be co-located with the CanWeld Conference, which is a Canadian educational platform in the field of welding and related technologies.
The event will rotate to eastern Canada, serving different regional industries including automotive, aerospace, transportation, medical device, and energy manufacturing, in odd years (2017, 2019, 2021) and return to Edmonton in even years (2016, 2018, 2020).
“Alberta has been and continues to be the most important market for fabricated metal manufacturing and welding,” said CWB Group Marketing Director Ian Campbell. “CanWeld 2016 is the perfect opportunity to expand our world-class conference to the next level by adding a major exhibition.”
