Seco Launches Web Site for Automotive Manufacturers

April 20, 2012

Seco Website

Seco, Troy, Mich., has announced the launch of a new Web site designed to provide support to manufacturers serving the automotive industry. The site also provides information to manufacturers of components for agricultural, construction, and small-engine applications.

The Web site, which presents data on materials, cutting processes, and other aspects of automotive manufacturing, does not focus solely on the company’s own cutting tools. On the site are 3-D interactive models of vehicles that allow users to identify specific vehicle components and the current best practices used to produce them.

“Many members of the general public think of the automotive segment as a mature industry with little change,” said Gilles Jolivet, Seco’s international application expert for automotive. “In fact, it is an industry rife with innovation. From the drive to produce more ecofriendly vehicles to pursuing productivity and environmental improvements in production, automotive manufacturers face constantly evolving challenges. Our new Web site addresses this fact and provides a valuable resource to help stay on pace with the latest trends and developments.”
