Mazak Canada, Cambridge, Ont., has added three service technicians to its western Canada operations to support its business throughout the region.
These new hires, when combined with the certified personnel from the company’s distribution partner, Machine Toolworks Inc., bring its service team for the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba to 10 technicians.
According to Ray Buxton, general manager for Mazak Canada, selling manufacturing technology is only part of what the company does to help its customers increase their productivity and profitability.
“We are a single point of contact for all customer questions or concerns, whether related to a machine, control, accessory, or an automation system,” said Buxton. “Our technicians also provide a wide variety of services, such as ball bar qualification and analysis, preventive maintenance plans, and vibration analysis and benchmarking.”
The company offers the Optimum Plus service program, which includes technical support. Training and process improvement are two other facets of this program. Additionally, a tiered learning program is available that offers hands-on teaching and real-world manufacturing examples. These training courses are available in both Edmonton at Machine Toolworks and at Mazak’s headquarters in Cambridge.
