For the sixth time since it started carrying the line in 1992, Ferro Technique, Mississauga, Ont., has been awarded the Century Award from Doosan Infracore America.
Presented at the annual distributor meeting in Torrey Pines, Calif., the award is given to North American distributors that reach the 100 unit sales mark in a single year. Ferro Technique also won the 2010 award for being the top distributor in Doosan’s eastern region.
“These awards really show how well Doosan products are liked in Canada,” explained Ferro Technique Vice President Brian Donnelly. “There are now 90 different machine tool configurations available, from two-axis lathes to the latest in multitasking equipment.”
The distributor’s best year came in 2000 when it sold nearly 200 units. In total, the company has placed more than 1,300 Doosan machines in shops in eastern Canada.
