Mori Seiki and Ellison Technologies will host a grand opening event at its Mississauga, Ont., facility to introduce and celebrate the collaboration of the two companies, as well as showcase the latest advances in Mori Seiki machine tools and Ellison Technologies automation technology to Canadian manufacturers.
Running April 27 and 28, the event will showcase Mori Seiki’s NVX5080 vertical machining center (VMC), a part of the company’s new X-Class of machines, as well as the NMV5000DCG five-axis VMC, NT1000/SZM mill/turn center, and NL2500SY CNC lathe.
In addition, the opening will feature a lean automation cell, which will demonstrate how manufacturers can run product unattended and increase machine utilization and machining capacity.
Technical presentations will focus on new technologies for the automotive and energy industries, and demonstrations featuring multitasking will take place. Application and support engineers will be on-site to advise customers on a number of topics, including turnkey processes and accessory integration. Test cuts will also be performed.
